Hi, I’m Sal Malandrino, a Certified Dog Trainer and Certified Canine Behaviorist based in Markham, Ontario. My journey began long before Canine Clarity, shaped by a background in competitive hockey and bodybuilding, where I learned discipline, mental focus, and the powerful link between emotion and behavior.

 

That foundation led me to study the science behind how dogs think and feel, deepening my understanding through specialized education in canine psychology, genetics, and breed-specific behavior. My early work with a canine detection unit earned me certifications in Bed Bug Detection, Man Tracking, Drug Detection, and Explosive Detection, skills that taught me patience, precision, and how to read a dog’s nervous system before their actions.
